Training Center was opened by the terminal in 2013 as part of company’s long-term strategy to assess, select and train employees in-house, adopting best practices and paving road for high quality services to shipping lines. Today drivers of STS, RTG and MHC cranes are trained in Klaipeda primarily for container terminals of TIL group, but also for other port companies on a commercial basis. Training courses include assessment of potential candidates, basic training on a modern simulator, hands-on training at the terminal and periodical mentoring. Individual training programs are developed for customers, based on their specific needs. Execution of the programs can take place in Klaipeda, also at customer’s location. Training courses suggested in English, Russian and Lithuanian languages.
Since 2013 training programs were accomplished successfully for container terminals of Umm Qasr (Iraq), Lomé (Togo), St. Petersburg (Russia), Naples (Italy) and other.
